Sanford International Internship Program

The Sanford International is a professional golf tournament on the PGA TOUR Champions held at Minnehaha Country Club in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The tournament will take place September 8th-14th and will host golf legends from around the PGA TOUR Champions.

Operated by Pro Links Sports, this internship will provide students the opportunity to network worldwide, and grow personally and professionally in future careers. The Sanford International Internship Program is fully hands-on when coordinating a PGA TOUR Champions event under the guidance of tournament staff before and after the tournament.

Operations Intern

  • Work with Operations Manager and staff to obtain and place all necessary furniture and other supplies in expos, hospitality locations and other areas around the golf course.
  • Point of contact for expo partners.
  • Work closely with tournament staff to ensure successful setup for tournament events.
  • Responsible for inventory of all shipments before, during and after the tournament.
  • Responsible for staff, volunteer, and vendor golf cart inventory.

Event Management / Volunteer Intern

  • Assist with Volunteer Uniform Distribution, Volunteer Appreciation Party, and other volunteer related events.
  • Schedule, recruit, and train volunteers to work various shifts throughout the week.
  • Conduct cold calls to obtain different volunteer donations.
  • Assist with execution of special events during tournament week.
  • Assist staff with various task and responsibilities related to the tournament.

Event Management / Special Event Intern

  • Assist with planning for special events during tournament week.
  • Aid in the creation of event collateral – invitations, trophies, PowerPoint presentations.
  • Source event materials needed – cups, napkins , decor, furniture, etc.
  • Work directly with hired vendors before and during tournament week.
  • Assist staff with various task and responsibilities related to the tournament.

Social Media Intern

  • Fulfill content request from tournament staff and sponsors.
  • Assist in capturing the excitement, emotion, and fun around tournament week.
  • Responsible for logging daily recap photos, videos, and other content with Social Media Coordinator.
  • Execute social media calendar with tournament and sponsorship needs.
  • Assist staff with various task and responsibilities related to the tournament.
