Sanford International Internship Program

The Sanford International is a professional golf tournament on the PGA TOUR Champions held at Minnehaha Country Club in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The tournament will take place September 7th-13th, 2026 and will host golf legends from around the PGA TOUR Champions.

Operated by Pro Links Sports, this internship will provide students the opportunity to network worldwide, and grow personally and professionally in future careers. The Sanford International Internship Program is fully hands-on when coordinating a PGA TOUR Champions event under the guidance of tournament staff before and after the tournament.

Operations Intern

  • Help coordinate course setup, including hospitality, signage and public viewing areas.
  • Assist in organizing event logistics with vendors, sponsors, volunteers.
  • Help set up and execute special events during tournament week.
  • Serve as the point of contact for expo vendors.
  • Responsible for staff, volunteer, and sponsor inventory.
  • Assist in preparing event materials, schedules, and correspondence.

Volunteer Services/Event Management Intern

  • Assist with recruiting, registering, and onboarding tournament volunteers.
  • Help manage volunteer databases, schedules, and contact information.
  • Ensure volunteers are properly assigned and staff at different locations on golf course.
  • Help create a positive and organized volunteer experience.
  • Assist tournament staff with execution of special events throughout tournament week.
  • Assist with Volunteer Uniform Distribution, Volunteer Appreciation Party, and other volunteer related events.
  • Schedule, recruit, and train volunteers to work various shifts throughout the week.
  • Conduct cold calls to obtain different volunteer donations.
  • Assist with execution of special events during tournament week.
  • Assist staff with various task and responsibilities related to the tournament.

Special Event/Sponsor Activation Intern

  • Support the planning and execution of special events such as pro-am, junior clinic, and women’s day.
  • Ensure sponsor branding, signage, and assets are executed.
  • Serve as a point of contact for sponsors load-ins and hospitality set-up.
  • Help manage guest flow, registration, and attendee check-in for special events.
  • Work closely with sales team to align sponsor activations with tournament goals.
  • Assist tournament staff with miscellaneous tasks related to the tournament.

Social Media/Marketing Intern

  • Assist with creating and publishing real-time content across social media platforms.
  • Capture photos and video content of tournament play, fan engagement, and special events.
  • Work closely with social media & marketing team to maintain consistent content.
  • Responsible for logging daily recap photos, videos, and other content with Social Media Coordinator.
  • Execute social media calendar with tournament and sponsorship needs.
  • Assist staff with various task and responsibilities related to the tournament.
